![]() In the meantime, check out the guide below – it will tell explain, in simple steps, everything you need to know about using the DualSense controller on PC, including how to work around compatibility issues and which games enable its haptic feedback and adaptive trigger features.Īs is so often the case with hardware worries, the underlying reason for the PS5 controller’s PC bother is driver software. This is a handy tool just for keeping the PS5 DualSense controller up to date, but could also be a sign that Sony is getting more serious about making it work more smoothly on PC. With any luck, this could improve now that Sony has launched a firmware updater app for Windows. Unfortunately, figuring out how to use the PS5 controller on PC takes a little more effort than simply plugging and playing: an effect of it relying on older, less widely-supported APIs than more naturally Windows-friendly Xbox controller. ![]() I guess I’ll just have to wait for a Xbox Elite Series 3 to get released for a better solo games experience on PC (I tend to use a controller more on solo games that are not First personal shooters), hoping that upcoming controller will have less issues than the Xbox Elite Series 2.With its comfortable design, grippy thumbsticks and satisfying adaptive triggers, Sony’s DualSense controller is one of the best gamepads around. Pretty annoying, especially when you invest in a controller as expensive as the DualSense Edge. ![]() Sony is clearly too slow and seems clueless as they don’t seem to put too much effort into making their controller work on other launchers outside of Steam. The real question is how to make them work on other launchers (in wireless mode if possible) without the risk of using third-party softwares that could trigger a false positive and getting you banned … Using PS5 controllers is clearly not an issue on Steam anymore, even without those supports. I would wait until 10th and test out if Steams official controller support works. Steam seems to have added official support 2 months ago for Playstation controllers. I guess people that will use Steam to play Overwatch in two days and that use DSX will find out ! I don’t know where Overwatch stands in terms of using DSX. I mean, they’re trying to sell their third-party software after all, so of course they’re going to contradict some random guy like me who warns people about the danger of DSX on certain games that let their game system ban players automatically for using what appears to them as suspicious third-party softwares.Įdit : Again, on Reddit, many users have said they have had some temporary bans because of DSX. I once got the chance to exchange with one of the DSX creators (not sure if it’s only one person or more) under the comment section of a Youtube video (their official account answered me back) and they were like “it’s impossible, our program has never triggered any false positives, etc…”, but I can’t take their word for it. The account that’s banned gets an automated message by a bot that they won’t look in to the report. If you’re banned by Blizzard you have to use a secondary account if you want to talk with support. It will not be easy to get unbanned by Blizzard and it doesn’t seem as they do anything about it unless there’s hundredths of reports of same thing. The anti cheat engine can detect the program as a cheat if it isn’t a widely known program whitelisted by the company. Yeah that’s a good point that I didn’t think about.
